“An audio/visual piece with original music production and a variety of choreographed movement showcasing the spiraling, circling, and spinning motion that is the embodiment of the pattern of the Fibonacci sequence, the golden ratio. The piece also explores the duality of light and dark, expansion and contraction, height and depth, and of the dance between seen and unseen.”

— Rawan Roshni (Choreographer)

Inspiration

The inspirations of this project are the shapes and patterns that emerge when the fibonacci sequence is put into motion.

The whirling dance and its existence across history in many cultures all over the world as a sacred ritual infused with intentions and diverse details, has been a huge inspiration for the feeling of synchronization with this divine formula, the order of the universe, the way that plants orbit and the galaxies swirl, the way a storm swells and the spiral of a snail, the dance of our atoms around each other and the way birds flock.

The exploration of the movement in this piece travels from the floor and up to the sky in gestures of longing and folding, in postures of prayer, and in concentric circles that frame, revolve, and transform.

A special thanks to DragonFly Media Productions, we very much enjoy collaborating with you and we appreciate your support during this challenging time. Thank you so much for being there for me. It means more than we can say.
